Random Bits, Updates and a Missing Child...

*I am leaving Tansey Gallery as of December 14th, 2009.

I am grateful to Deborah Tansey and her team for housing my art work and I wish them my very best for their continued success. Check back soon to see which Tucson gallery I have selected to house my pieces.

*My Tar: (n.) Indifference in the Tucson Weekly!

The Tucson Citizen and the Tucson Weekly both ran color photos of my Tar: (n.) Indifference piece from my Tar series. The Tucson Citizen ran a full-sized photo in their Calendar of Events, while the Tucson Weekly cropped the image (below). The ads were in honor of my Featured Artist Night on September 11th at Mountain Shadow. Here is a photo of the ad, taken directly from my scrapbook (hence, the askew charm).

*My Yellow Bird in the Tucson Citizen!
The Tucson Citizen has been very kind to me. This is from the Calendar of Events for  July, 2007.

*My Gorgon in the Tucson Citizen!
This is from the Calandar of Events for October 2005, where the Tucson Citizen gave my Gorgon painting a nice full-color spot for my Emergence show.

*HELP FIGHT ART THEIVES!!
In 2006, one of my paintings was stolen.  In broad daylight, someone took it off the wall of the Arts Partnership Gallery and ran off.  The gallery reimbursed me for my loss, and a police report was filed.  HOWEVER, if you have seen my Vesica Piscis piece, PLEASE PLEASE contact me.  I want it to go to a loving home, not end up at a yard sale- or worse. Plus, think of how much fun it would be to catch a scoundrel!
Vesica Piscis. 18"x12" Oil and Acrylic on Wood.

*Need An Illustrator?
I am very excited by the possibility of illustrating for folks on a freelance basis.  Do you have a work that needs some stylish visuals?  I can delve into a variety of mediums including watercolor, pen/ink, collage and of course, oils and acrylics. Maybe we could be a team...?
